Ewá

Orisha of springs, vision, and possibility. Guardian of the uncertain and of what is not yet seen. Sister of Oxumarê, linked to the serpent and the horizon. Greeting: "Ri ro!".

Who She Is

Ewá (Yèwá) is the orisha of springs, vision, and possibility — the guardian of what is not yet seen but may come to be. Linked to the horizon, to the dawn mist, and to the serpent (in kinship with Oxumarê), she governs the domain of the uncertain: what is possible, what is about to happen, the future that still floats.

An orisha of virginity and mystery, she is discreet and reserved. Her wisdom is that of foresight — she sees the forks of destiny before they are decided. For this reason she is invoked for clairvoyance and the ability to read the signs.

Domains

  • Vision — foresight, the reading of signs, what has not yet manifested.
  • Springs and mist — the nascent waters, the threshold between the hidden and the visible.
  • Possibility — the field of what may be, before it becomes fact.

In-Game Perspective

Ewá is the principle of possibility and prophecy — sister, in function, to the oracles of Orunmilá. She resonates with the Wiki’s theme of the Akashic Records: the archive of what was, is, and will be, accessible only to a few.
