1. Acceptance

By accessing and using the website mensageirosdovento.com and the services associated with the game Mensageiros do Vento, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the game.

2. About the project

Mensageiros do Vento is an indie Brazilian 2D RPG with Sumerian-Mesopotamian lore from a Gnostic and Theosophist perspective, developed independently. The public site presents the project’s manifesto, narrative content (The Book), news and channels for support and contact.

3. User account

To access features that require authentication (settings of the account linked to the game), you will need to create an account through our identity system (Keycloak). You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials;
• Providing truthful and up-to-date information;
• All activity carried out through your account;
• Notifying the data controller in case of unauthorized use.

4. Expected conduct

The following is prohibited:

• Using the site or the game for unlawful purposes;
• Attempting to access restricted areas without authorization;
• Performing reverse engineering, mass scraping or attacks of any nature against the infrastructure;
• Publishing offensive or illegal content, hate speech, or content that violates third-party rights;
• Falsifying identity or impersonating another user.

5. Intellectual property

All content of the site and the game (texts, illustrations, code, narrative, lore, characters, mechanics) is the property of the Mensageiros do Vento project, except where explicitly indicated otherwise. Use is permitted for personal consumption; reproduction, redistribution or commercial use requires prior authorization.

6. User-generated content

When the game or the site allows the submission of content (comments, suggestions, character data), you retain the rights over what you submit, but you grant the project a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free license to use, display and process that content for purposes of service operation.

7. Service availability

This is an indie project under development. We do not guarantee continuous availability, absence of errors or full compatibility with all devices. Maintenance, updates and changes in functionality may occur without prior notice.

8. Limitation of liability

The project is offered “as is”. We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of game progress, lost profits or any other damages arising from the use or inability to use the site/game, except for legal guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor).

9. Privacy

The processing of personal data follows our Privacy Policy, drafted in compliance with the LGPD (Brazilian GDPR — Lei nº 13.709/2018).

10. Changes to the terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the update date visible at the top. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the new terms.

11. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The jurisdiction of the data controller’s domicile is hereby elected to settle any controversies, subject to consumer rights statutory venue guarantees.
